Our Pastor

Wayne Smith serves as Senior Pastor of Pinnacle Church, bringing more than 35 years of pastoral and ministry leadership experience to the Cedar Creek Lake community. Throughout his ministry, Wayne has been passionate about helping people know Christ, grow in their faith, and discover how God can use them to make a difference in the lives of others.

Before coming to Pinnacle Church in 2023, Wayne served churches in Texas, Washington, and Mississippi in roles ranging from spiritual formation and church planting to lead and senior pastor. His ministry has consistently emphasized biblical teaching, developing leaders, building healthy churches, and mobilizing people to serve their communities.

Wayne earned a B.A. in Communications from the University of Memphis and a Th.M. in Pastoral Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has also pursued doctoral studies in Advanced Expository Preaching at Biola University’s Talbot School of Theology.

Wayne and his wife, Ali, enjoy life at Cedar Creek Lake and spending time with their family. When he isn’t preaching or thinking about church strategy, you will often find him playing golf or pickleball, reading, or enjoying time with family.
